IRCTC launches ‘Hunar Se Rozgar Tak’ (HSRT) programme in Lucknow
According to a report in The Free Press Journal, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) ,encouraged by the growing response to ‘Hunar Se Rozgar Tak’ (HSRT) programme that aims to create skilled manpower in the hospitality sector, organised the training programme for the unemployed youth through its regional office at Lucknow.
Launched in collaboration with the Tourism Ministry of Government of India, the HSRT programme offers three short-term courses in Food Production, Food & Beverage Service and Bakery & Patisserie to develop skill of underprivileged and unemployed youngsters in the 18-28 age groups, thus creating employment opportunities in the fast growing hospitality sector.
All the courses are free of cost for the applicants. Beginning May 18, the six-week training programme at Lucknow concluded on June 29. The first batch of 25 students was trained in Food and Beverage service. During the training, they were also given a stipend of INR 1500.
