SR.CITIZEN PASSENGERS OF RAJDHANI EXPRESS FELICITATED BY GM/ER

Kolkata, June 2, 2015


As a part of observance of ‘Passenger & Customer Facilitation Fortnight’ from 26thMay to 9thJune, 2015, Shri R. K. Gupta, General Manager, Eastern Railway felicitated two senior citizen passengers of 12302 Down Kolkata Rajdhani Express at Howrah station today morning.


Shri S. N. Dutta (Male – 89) and Smt. Mumtaz Begum (Female – 72) who arrived from New Delhi to Howrah today morning by 12302 Down Kolkata Rajdhani Express happened to be the senior most male & female passengers of the train. After alighting from the train, both the passengers were provided with the facility of ‘Battery operated Cars’ and were taken to the VIP waiting room ‘Atithi’ of Howrah station. In the VIP waiting room both the passengers were felicitated by Shri R. K. Gupta, General Manager, Eastern Railway.


When asked by GM about his experience of the train journey, Shri Dutta said “the o­n-board housekeeping of the train was very good and the train compartments were neat & clean”. Shri Dutta also said that “though the LHB coaches of Rajdhani Express are quite comfortable, the interior design of its toilets need some modification”. However, Shri R. K. Gupta, General Manager assured Shri Dutta to raise the issue at appropriate level.
