Railways, IRCTC launch Mahatma Gandhi train

For catering to the demand of travelers, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) and Indian Railways have jointly launched 'Village on wheels' for 'Bharat Darshan', for budgeted touring of India. 'Village on wheels' is for the budget tourists, especially villagers, who wish to explore the country.

As a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, IRCTC recently launched 'Mahatma Gandhi Circuit train' which takes the tourists to the places associated with the life and struggle of Gandhi.

Manager, public relations of IRCTC reveals that some sought after journeys of the Bharat Darshan include visit to five 'jyotirlingas', three other jyotirlingas along with Shirdi, Dakshin Bharat Darshan covering Mahakaleshwar- Ujjain, Nageshvara - Dwarka, Somnath temple, Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga - Aurangabad and Trayambakeshwar- Nasik.
