SURPRISE CHECK BY GENERAL MANAGER / SOUTHERN RAILWAY IN CHENNAI EGMORE – MADURAI PANDIYAN EXPRESS
On a surprise check conducted on 14.08.2014 by Shri Rakesh Misra, General Manager, Southern Railway at Chennai Egmore Railway Station in the coach meant for disabled passengers of Train No.12637 Chennai Egmore – Madurai Pandiyan Express, 7 normal passengers were found to be in the coach.These persons were de-trained from the coach and were handed over to the Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel.An amount of Rs.1785/- was collected from them as fine.A similar check was conducted in the same train at Tambaram Railway Station as well.
