SENSITIZATION CAMP BY RPF / CHENNAI DIVISION

Railway Protection Force / Chennai Division conducted a Sensitization Camp for its Officers and Staff under the title ‘Empathize with disabled persons’ as part of the o­ngoing programme of Southern Railway to provide hassle free train journey for differently abled persons.  Shri T.M.N. Deepak, Vice President of Tamilnadu Disabled Persons Federation and a well known activist interacted with the participants o­n the issues related to differently abled persons and also enlightened them o­n the problems faced by differently abled during their train journeys.

Shri. K.K. Ashraf, Senior Divisional Security Commissioner / Chennai also spoke o­n the occasion.He urged the Officers and Staff of Railway Protection Force to be pro-active and ensure that a hassle free journey is offered to the public especially the differently abled, women, children and the elderly.Shri. V.T. Dileep, Inspector / Chennai Central, Shri. Angath Kumar, SIPF / Avadi and other staff were felicitated and given cash award for their commendable work in protecting the rights of the disabled persons.More than 300 officers and staff of Railway Protection Force participated in the programme.
