Rail budget a bummer for Madhya Pradesh; Bhopal gets it's due

Rail budget a bummer for Madhya Pradesh; Bhopal gets it's due

BHOPAL: State capital may have enough cause for cheer but the rest of the state has been largely ignored, including the zonal railway headquarters; Jabalpur and even the commercial capital of Madhya Pradesh-Indore, by the NDA government in the rail budget. Other cities of the state too have largely been given a miss as far as introduction of new trains is concerned.

Bhopal, meanwhile, being the state capital enjoys advantage of its geographical location which falls in the New Delhi-South corridor.

In the interim budget, presented earlier this year by the outgoing UPA government, a Manduadih ? Jabalpur Express (Weekly) via Allahabad, Manikpur and Satna was announced.
