Now superfast train from Delhi to Vaishno Devi

Pilgrims travelling to Vaishno Devi from the Capital will now be able to travel directly to the shrine with the Railways starting a daily service between the two destinations from Monday.

The air-conditioned superfast train named Shri Shakti Express will start its maiden run both from New Delhi and Katra from Monday.

The Shri Shakti Express will depart from New Delhi at 5:30 p.m. daily to arrive at Katra at 5:10 a.m. the next day. On its return journey, the train will depart from Katra at 10:55 p.m. daily to reach New Delhi at 10:45 a.m. the next day.

Consisting of one first AC, five AC two-tier and nine AC three-tier coaches, the train will stop at Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantt, Pathankot cantt, Jammu Tawi and Udhampur Stations en route both directions.
