HIGH LEVEL DELEGATES FROM NEPAL VISIT E.R.

Kolkata, July 14, 2014:

A high level delegates headed by His Excellency Mr. Narayan Gopal Malego, Secretary, Ministry of Commerce & Supplies, Govt. of Nepal visitedEastern Railway, Head Quarters at Fairlie Place this morning.The team was represented by Nepal Consul General Mr. Chandra Kumar Ghimire,Mr. Jib Raj Koirala, Jt. Secretary, Mr. Madhusudan Pokhare, Jt. Secretary, Mr. Surendra Thapa, Deputy Consul General, Mr. Arjun Khadka, Under Secretary, Mr. Tara Sapkota, under Secretary, Mr. Moti Bahadur Shrees, Prof. Nisha Tanuja, from World Bank.

The delegates had an informal discussion with General Manager, Eastern Railway, Shri R.K. Gupta, and other Principal Officers of Eastern Railway.A small presentation highlighting the activities of Eastern Railway was presented for better appreciation and understanding o­n the working of Eastern Railway.His Excellency, Mr. Narayan Gopal Malego, Secretary and Mr. Chandra Kumar Ghimire, Consul General appreciated the development and achievement made by Eastern Railway.They requested for a better co-ordination and understanding between the Government of Nepal with Indian Railways.They sought all co-operation from Railways for easy movement of traffic operation between the two countries via Raxaul and Birganj with mutual interest of both the countries.
