Restoration of Train Services 

 Railway Board has approved  the restoration of the following Unreserved Express Specials with the timings and stoppages as detailed below.

Train No. 06659 / 06660 Sengottai – Kollam Jn – Sengottai Unreserved Daily Express Special trains

 Train No. 06659 Sengottai – Kollam Jn  Unreserved Daily Express Special train will leave Sengottai at 11.35 hrs o­n and from 15^th December, 2021 and reach Kollam Jn at 15.35 hrs, the same day.

In return direction, Train No. 06660 Kollam Jn – Sengottai  Unreserved Daily Express Special train will leave Kollam Jn at 10.20 hrs o­n and from 16^th December, 2021 and reach Sengottai at 14.20 hrs, the same day.

Coach Composition:  Twelve  General Second Class Coaches and Two Luggage cum Brake vans

Renaming of Trains

Train No.06181 Chennai Egmore - Sengottai Express and Train No.02661 Chennai Egmore - Sengottai Express Train leave Chennai Egmore within a gap of 15 minutes.  As the train names are similar, in order to alleviate confusion, it is decided to rename these trains by distinguishing the route, as follows, with immediate effect

1. Train No.06181/06182 Chennai Egmore - Karaikkudi -  Sengottai Express

• Train No.06181Chennai Egmore - Sengottai Express is renamed as Chennai Egmore – Karaikkudi - Sengottai Express
• Train No.06182 Sengottai – Chennai Egmore Express is renamed as Sengottai – Karaikkudi - Chennai Egmore Express
• Stoppages: Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Melmaruvathur, Villupuram,  Vriddhachalam, Tiruchchirappalli, Pudukkotai, Karaikkudi, Devakottai Road, Sivaganga, Manamadurai, Aruppukkottai, Virudunagar, Tiruttangal, Sivakasi, Srivilliputtur, Rajapalaiyam, Sankarankovil, Pambakovil Shandy, Kadayanallur and Tenkasi

2. Train No.02661/02662 Chennai Egmore – Madurai - Sengottai Express

• Train No.02661 Chennai Egmore – Sengottai Express is renamed as Chennai Egmore – Madurai – Sengottai Express
• Train No.02662 Sengottai - Chennai Egmore Express is renamed as Sengottai – Madurai – Sengottai Express
