Railways to launch web portal to resolve ROB issues with NHAI: CRB
New Delhi: In view of delays in construction of road over bridge and road under bridge at level crossings, railways has adopted e-governance route by creating a web portal for sorting out differences with NHAI for execution of such projects.
The web portal will have all ROB/RUB related information including the exact location of the level crossing on the rail network, volume of traffic, design of bridges and other necessary inputs.
The web portal will be launched next week, Railway Board Chairman Arunendra Kumar said.
Construction of ROB and RUB are important for railways as maximum train accidents take place at unmanned crossings. The difference of opinion between railways and NHAI also come in the way of expansion of highways.
