‘Refrain from lighting Camphor o­nboard trains’ - An Appeal to Sabarimala Passengers
Some of the Sabarimala bound passengers are in the practice of lighting Camphor during their travel to Sabarimala.  These unsafe practices may result in fire mishap o­nboard trains.
Hence, passengers are requested to desist from lighting Camphor inside trains or at Station premises and co-operate with Railways in ensuring a Safe journey
As per Indian Railways Act of 1989, carrying inflammable objects like crackers, gas cylinder, acid, petrol, kerosene, camphor or lighting of any inflammable article during a train journey is a punishable offence and the offender is liable to be fined and/or punished with imprisonment up to three years.
