Temporary closure of Gate No. 1 (Exide Gate) of Rabindra Sadan

Metro station due to dismantling of old escalators

Kolkata, 14th June, 2019:

  Metro Railway has been undertaking initiatives to replace old escalators with new escalators at different Metro stations. As part of this programme two old escalators will be replaced at Rabindra Sadan station.

  The dismantling work of old escalators 1601 and 1602, at Gate No. 1 (Exide Gate) of Rabindra Sadan Metro station will start from 16.06.2019 due to which services of the escalators will be temporarily suspended from 16.06.2019 till commissioning of the new escalators. Accordingly the Gate No. 1 (Exide Gate) of Rabindra Sadan station will also remain closed during that period.

 Inconvenience caused to the commuters is regretted.
