Booking of Parcels at Puratchi Thalaivar Dr MG Ramachandran Central Railway Station, Chennai, has been streamlined to enhance customer friendly atmosphere. To facilitate hassle free booking, exclusive booking counter for perishables is functioning from 07.00 hrs to 20.00 hrs daily. This has facilitated smooth flow of both inward and outward parcels, thus avoiding congestion. Also to ensure security, parcels are booked only after being scanned by RPF. Regular checks are conducted in platforms and parcel office premises to keep touts away.
