DIFFERENT PROJECTS & PASSENGER AMENITIES LAUNCHED IN ECoR BY SHRI MANOJ SINHA, HON’BLE MoS FOR COMMUNICATION (I/C) AND MoS FOR RAILWAYS:

Shri Manoj Sinha, Hon’ble Minister of State for Communications (Independent Charge) and Minister of State for Railways dedicated passenger amenities and launched railway projects through video conferencing from Rail Sadan, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar.

Dr. Prof. Prasanna Kumar Patasani, Hon’ble MP was present at Bhubaneswar andSmt. Raseswasri Panigrahi, Hon’ble MLA was present at Sambalpur along with General Manager/ECoR Shri Umesh Singh.

Shri Sinha laid the Foundation Stone of Road Over Bridge (RoB) at Khetarajpur (Sambalpur) & flagged off Train on Electric Traction from Sambalpur on newly Electrified Section of Sambalpur & Jharsuguda. Apart from this Shri Sinha launched Wi-Fi Services at Khurda Road Railway Station.

Giving highest emphasis on passenger amenities at Stations & Trains, Shri Sinha said that focus is being given to connect Railways with unconnected regions. Shri Sinha also said that, Railway will stand on its commitment on different projects including Jeypore – Malkanagiri Project. Funds will not be an issue for any projects in this region.

Shri Sinha said that projects like Khurda Road-Balangir, Haridaspur-Paradeep and Angul-Sukinda lines are being monitored at the highest levels of Government. He stated that he had a firm belief that progress of a state is linked to progress in Railway infrastructure. States like Odisha were neglected in field of Railways for years together. Hence, priority is now being given to high level of funding to all old/pending projects.

Other dignitaries including Additional General Manager/East Coast Railway Shri Rajeev Sharma and all Principal Heads of Departments of ECoR were present at Bhubaneswar.​
