Porter to launch mini truck service in Chennai

Porter, a logistics marketplace providing intra-city pick-ups and deliveries, has started its mini truck service in Chennai.

N Sadhanandhan, Head-Expansion, Porter said that It will start with Tata Ace and Tata Super Ace vehicles providing service within city limits.

Customers can book a trip using the company’s mobile app available in Android platform or by calling its call centre at 044 4410 4410.

They can also use the promotional code PORTERAPP to get a flat ₹50 off on all trips using the mobile app, he told newspersons.

He said that In Chennai, nearly 200 mini trucks are attached to the company, which expects these vehicles to make nearly 400 trips a day. In the next six months, the fleet will increase to nearly 500 vehicles making 1,500 trips a day.
