“Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” Pledge by Railway Employees

The employees and officers of South Central Railway took “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” Pledge o­n national unity and integrity today (30.10.2015).

At Headquarters, the pledge was administered by Shri Umesh Singh, Additional General Manager, South Central Railway to the employees and officers of  General Administration Department, Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad.

Similarly, all the  Heads of the Department of various departments in Rail Nilayam, Divisional Railway Managers of Six Divisions of SCR, Heads of five Railway Workshops in the Zone also administered the pledge to their respective employees and officers.

Railway Board instructed all the Zonal Railways to observe the birth anniversary of late Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel as “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) o­n 31st October, 2015.   Since, 31st October, 2015 falls o­n Saturday, a holiday, the pledge has been administered today (30.10.2015), being the first working day preceding the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas.

The Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge reads as follows:-

“ I solemnly pledge that I dedicate myself to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the Nation and also strive hard to spread this message among my fellow countrymen. I take this pledge in the sprit of unification of my country which was made by the vision and actions of Sardar Vallbhbhai Patel. I also solemnly resolve to make my own contribution to ensure internal security of my country”.
