South East Central Railway to hold Pension Adalat

Raipur (R): South East Central Railway (SECR) will hold a Pension Adalat to redress grievances of the retired officials and employees of the Railways at the divisional headquarters at Bilaspur, Raipur and Nagpur, besides Wagon Repair Shop Raipur, Motibag Workshop Nagpur and General Store Depot Raipur, on June 15. In the Pension Adalat officials of all subsequent departments will resolve the problems of retired employees and their families.

According to sources, the retired employees and the families of the deceased Railway employees who have sent their representation to the divisional offices in response to the notification issued, but have not received any communication so far would attend the Adalat for redressal of their grievances.

The purpose of conducting the Pension Adalat is to examine the grievances of pensioners so as to redress the same by taking on the spot decisions and to obviate the delays, if any, in the settlement of their dues.

Such a step would go a long way in instilling a sense of being cared for and attended to in the minds of pensioners and thus dispel their feeling of neglect and isolation.

Railway sources said that pensioners and family pensioners have to submit their application along with supporting documents and lodge their claim with the Pension Adalat regarding non-payment of dues. The Railway administration has appealed the pensioners to represent their grievances within the time frame to take up their cases.

Besides individual pensioners and family pensioners, the officials will also consider representations from the Railway Pensioners Sewa Samiti (RPSS) for redressal of grievances.
