IRCTC offers domestic air tour packages
The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has launched domestic air tour packages to pilgrim destinations like Shirdi and popular places in the North-East.
Announcing the packages at a press conference here on Friday, the officials said the group departure for the Shirdi package with 20 tourists was scheduled for February 15. The tour will include two nights’ stay in Shirdi and organised visits to Shirdi Saibaba, Shani Shignapur, Trimbakeshwar and Panchvati temples.
The three days and two nights trip is priced at Rs 11,137 per person on a twin-sharing basis and will include onward and return tickets (Bengaluru-Pune-Shirdi), hotel accommodation, airport transfer, sightseeing tours by air-conditioned coaches and more.
Another group tour of 18 passengers to the North-East is scheduled to leave the City on March 31.
The tour named ‘Splendours of North-East’ is for six days and five nights, with visits to Kalimpong, Gangtok and Darjeeling. The package is priced at Rs 28,181 per person on a twin-sharing basis.
The tourism corporation has also launched a pilgrim special tourist train ‘Punya Teertha Yatra’ scheduled to leave Bengaluru on March 3. The 10-day tour will cover Allahabad, Varanasi, Gaya, Puti, Kolkata and Konark. The standard category with sleeper class is priced at Rs 9,100 per person.
