New train to be flagged off today
A new fast past passenger train between Chamarajanagar and Bangalore, with a stopover in Mysore, will be flagged off by R. Dhruvanarayan, Chamarajanagar MP, in Chamarajanagar on Saturday.
The train (no. 56282/56281) will leave Chamarajanagar at 6.55 a.m. and reach Bangalore city at noon. In the return direction, the train will leave Bangalore city at 3.30 p.m. and reaches Chamarajanagar at 8.30 p.m.
The train, which will have a composition of nine general second class coaches and two second class luggage-cum-brake vans, will have stops at Nanjangud, Mysore, Mandya, Maddur, Channapatna, Ramanagaram, Bidadi. and Kengeri. The train, which had been announced in the Railway Budget, is being introduced on the occasion of Rajyotsava Day, said a statement from South Western Railway, Bangalore.
