WR HomeGuard on escort duty in ladies coach caught napping
MUMBAI: The GRP is inquiring into an incident where a home guard, assigned escort duty in a ladies compartment on a WR local on Wednesday, was found dozing on a row of seats. A photograph of the sleeping home guard was clicked by a journalist and forwarded to the police.
"We are trying to establish the identity of the home guard," GRP spokesperson Ritesh Aher said. "We have sent the photograph to senior inspectors of all railway police stations. They have been asked to see if the home guard is with their police station."
The home guard was sleeping in the second-class coach of a Borivli-bound fast local.
