Fortress Check at Kazipet Railway Station against Ticketless/Irregular Travel

Hyderabad Division of South Central Railway conducted a fortress check against ticketless and irregular travel at Kazipet Railway station on 19th Sep’14. The Check was conducted under the direct supervision of  Divisional Commercial Manager, Hyderabad Division, SCR.

30 Ticket checking staff carried out the drive and checked the tickets of each passenger at the Station.  During the fortress check, all the exit points at Kazipet Railway station were plugged to prevent ticketless travellers escaping from the fortress check.22 Express trains, 4 Passenger trains  were checked.

A total of 221 cases, comprising of 310 cases of travelling without ticket, 102 cases of travelling irregularly and 89 cases of un-booked luggage were apprehended. An amount of Rs. 1, 46,660/- was realised towards penalty from these persons.
