CONTINUATION OF EXPERIMENTAL STOPPAGES & SPECIAL TRAINS

I. CONTINUATION OF EXPERIMENTAL STOPPAGES

As per Railway Board’s orders, the experimental / temporary stoppages provided for trains over Southern Railway, which are due to expire o­n or after 30.09.2014, shall continue until further advice.

II. SPECIAL TRAINS

The following special trains will be run to clear the extra rush of passengers.

1.Special trains between Tirunelveli – Chennai Egmore (via.Thanjavur, Mayiladuthurai) 

Train No.06702 Tirunelveli – Chennai Egmore superfast special train will leave Tirunelveli  at 18.15 hrs. on 14.09.2014, Sunday and reach Chennai Egmore at 07.15 hrs. the next day.  Train No. 06701 Chennai Egmore – Tirunelveli special train will leave Chennai Egmore at    22.45 hrs. on 15.09.2014, Monday and reach Tirunelveli at 12.30 hrs. the next day.

 The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 2 AC 3-tier, 12 Sleeper Class, 6 General        Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches.

The trains will stop at Vanchi Maniyachchi, Kovilpatti, Sattur, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Tiruchchirappalli, Thanjavur, Kumbakonam, Mayiladuthurai, Chidambaram, Tiruppadiripuliyur, Villupuram, Chengalpattu and Tambaram.  Train No.06702 will stop at Mambalam also.

2.Special trains between Tirunelveli – Chennai Egmore (via.Vriddhachalam)

Train No.06704 Tirunelveli – Chennai Egmore superfast special train will leave  Tirunelveli  at 21.15 hrs. on 11.09.2014, Thursday and reach Chennai Egmore at 09.00 hrs. the next day.  Train No. 06703 Chennai Egmore – Tirunelveli special train will leave Chennai Egmore at  21.05 hrs. on 12.09.2014, Friday and reach Tirunelveli at 09.45 hrs. the next day.

The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 2 AC 3-tier, 10 Sleeper Class, 6 General  Second Class, 1 luggage-cum-brake van coach and 1 luggage-cum-brake van coach with  accommodation for the differently abled.

The trains will stop at Vanchi Maniyachchi, Kovilpatti, Sattur, Virudhunagar, Madurai,  Kodaikanal Road, Dindigul, Tiruchchirappalli, Vriddhachalam, Villupuram, Chengalpattu  and Tambaram.  Train No.06704 will stop at Mambalam also.

 Advance reservations for the above trains will commence on 10.09.2014.
