Shift ticket counter to the entrance of station
Recently, a new reservation counter was opened at the entrance of the Perambur Loco Works Railway Station. This counter, located at the rear side of the railway workshop, is too small to function as a ticket counter. Most railway employees have free passes and would not have to buy a ticket, but there are many residents in the locality who find it difficult to walk up to the end of the station to buy tickets during the rush hour. It would help if the counter were shifted to the entrance of the station.
A foot over bridge is also needed at the station. The passage to the entrance is risky, and cycles and bikes block the view of trains coming at high speeds. One of my friends lost her father in such an accident.
The authorities should take necessary action.
