ICF, RCF manufactured 905 Passenger Coaches between April-July, 2014

New Delhi:  Integral Coach Factory (ICF), and Rail Coach Factory (RCF), production units of Indian Railways, have produced 519 and 386 coaches during 1st April to 31st July 2014 respectively.

A new Rail Coach Factory at Rae Bareli is being set up with an installed capacity of 1000 coaches. Production at Rae Bareli Coach Factory has commenced and turned out 130 coaches during 2013-14 and 41 coaches up to July, 2014.

The Production/Acquisition target of coaches for the year 2014-15 is 3658. Indian Railways does not import coaches to meet annual production/acquisition targets.
