Chennai-bound trains delayed -Power failure.
CHENNAI: Three Express trains coming to Chennai Egmore and a few suburban services between Chengalpet and Tambaram were delayed after power supply disrupted on Thursday morning.
The power supply failure affected suburban commuters as it happened during the peak hour.
Thiruvananthapuram-Chennai Ananthapuri Express, Puduchery-Chennai passenger and Tuticorin-Chennai Pearl City Express were held up at Chengalpet. The trains were delayed by an hour.
A senior railway official said power supply was restored in half an hour.
